What is “Call Me Before You Fall Asleep”?

An improvised sound-art piece.

More of an experiment than a Podcast, when you listen to Call Me Before You Fall Sleep, simply imagine that you are tired. Hungry for sleep, yet unable. A very good friend is online, and available:

You're not great at falling asleep without sweet nothings in your ear. I'm always up for another nighttime manifesto, content to whisper words while cocooned in-between thick duvet sheets. It's a match made in the nightosphere, where darkness and spiralling thoughts meet comfort and non-threatening question marks. And I'll keep speaking until you're snoring. So, don't even worry about it; call me before you fall asleep.

Verbal preamble and harmless pillow talk, where sharing is caring, and never shame.

Episode 01: if it’s there, it’s there

You‘re crashed out on your bed. You had a bloody long day and you‘re feeling all kinds of melancholy, but sleep isn‘t coming. You send me a text; „u up?“ I respond „🌚“, crashed out on my bed after a long day, feeling all kinds of thoughtful. You call me, and we wax silly-philosophical until you fall asleep.

Episode 04: what is tiredness?

You called me, or I called you. Today it doesn’t matter. Time is like a laundry line to hang out tiredness, so we hang there, and drops of language fall from it.

Am I down, or you?
